If there is a meaning to life or a purpose, it is to use your life to enrich and ennoble of the lives of those around you. The entreAmigos Project (meaning between friends), conceived by Nicole Swedlow, strives to do just that and more. The main idea behind the project is to bring an entire community together to enhance/improve the lives of all of its members. By working together toward common goals, the community and its residents will develop resources that everyone can use and benefit.
The entreAmigos project is very ambitious and is only in the infancy of its actual operation. So, what exactly does this project hope to accomplish?
The first element of the project being developed and a key to the overall success is the Community Center. This center is a multifaceted hub through which everything in the project is supported. The center itself will sell art from local artists, crafts made by children, distribute food to local residents in need, act as a center for community meetings, be a point of trade of services between individuals, and more. The money raised will be used to offset operational expenses and to fund the other projects under development.
